“Miracle-Working Icons of the Mother of God”, a new book by Irina Gorbunova and Michael Lomax, has just been published by HAGIA SOPHIA EDITIONS. 

Published in three languages ??- English, German and Russian – and in full colour, the book serves as a richly illustrated iconographic reference for novice icon painters, for whom access to original medieval models can present insurmountable difficulties. The book contains icons by Irina Gorbunova-Lomas based on 31 original Russian models, supplemented with line drawings, details of early icons, a general introduction and brief descriptions of each icon type.
