Reception at the Russian Embassy in Belgium

On June 10, 2025, a reception was held at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Belgium to celebrate Russia Day and the end of the mandate of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Kingdom of Belgium, A.A. Tokovinin.

The reception was attended by Archbishop Simon of Brussels and Belgium, the clergy of the Belgian diocese, and representatives of numerous Belgian embassies. Also present were: the rector of the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God in Brussels, Priest Adrian Alaoui, and his wife; the rector of the Church of Saint Anne in Laeken (Brussels), Priest Andrei Popa; and the cleric of Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Brussels, Priest Alexandre Motorny. Priest Andrei Krayushkin, cleric of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Brussels, and his wife; Priest Alexander Tsabiev, priest of the Church of the Holy Trinity in Brussels, and his wife.

The reception took place in a warm and solemn atmosphere. Guests emphasized the importance of this holiday, a symbol of Russian unity and cultural heritage. Archbishop Simon congratulated Alexander Avrelevitch and his wife Nina Pavlovna on the occasion of this holiday and thanked them for their cooperation in strengthening Orthodox tradition.
