Pilgrimage to the Cave of Saint Remacle in the Ardennes

Senior students of the Russian School at the Holy Trinity Church in Brussels, as well as younger students with their parents who wished, made a pilgrimage to the cave of Saint Remacle (600 - 675), the enlightener of the Ardennes. On the morning of June 28, everyone gathered for the Divine Liturgy in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in the town of Leglise. After the Divine Liturgy, having received the Holy Mysteries of Christ, the children had a picnic, and then headed to the place of pilgrimage.

A prayer service was held in the saint's cave to the Holy Mother of God and Saint Remacle. After that, the children climbed to the top of the mountain, from where a beautiful view of the floodplain of the Samois River opens up. There is a worship cross at the height. After a short rest, the group headed to the city of Bouillon to the famous castle of the Dukes of Bouillon, from whose line came Godfrey of Bouillon, the first Crusader king in the city of Jerusalem.

After visiting the castle and citadel, the group took a walk through the historical sites of the city and returned to Brussels in the evening.
