Diocesan-wide cathedral service in Brussels.
Traditionally, on the second day of Holy Easter, the clergy of the Russian Orthodox Church in Belgium gather in one of the country's churches to concelebrate with the ruling Archbishop of Brussels and Belgium, Simon.
This year, the joint service took place at Holy Trinity Church in Brussels. During the service, Archbishop Simon presented the clergy of the diocese with awards from His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus': Archpriest Gennady Katamaschvili received a cross with decorations, and Priest Adrian Alaoui received a palitsa, as well as a cross with decorations on the occasion of his eightieth birthday.
Following the service, a traditional meal was held, during which those gathered discussed current diocesan issues, had the opportunity to fellowship and share news from their parishes.
