On Victory Day, Mons honored the memory of fallen soldiers.
According to a long-standing tradition, on May 9, believers laid flowers and lit candles at the graves of 74 Russian soldiers who died during World War I at the cemetery in the city.
The memorial service was conducted by Priest Alexander Nichiporuk, rector of the Church of the Archangel Michael and All Heavenly Powers in Mons.
