History:
Holy Trinity parish in Brussels was opened on 8 October 2002 and was consecrated on 30 March 2003 by Metropolitan Kirill of Smolensk and Kaliningrad, now H.H. Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia. Until recently the church had the status of a stavropegic metochia (podvorye) of Russian Orthodox Church. By decision of the Holy Synod of the ROC of 6 October 2005 it was included in the diocese of Brussels and Belgium. Since 2006 the parish has been officially recognized by the Belgian authorities. At the same address as the church is the Representation of the Russian Orthodox Church to the European Institutions.
